House Rules & Policy
Absolutely NO smoking on property and no pets.
Accommodations
The Driftwood Motel offers 26 guest rooms of various types: rooms with one queen bed (Courtside Queen, Seaside Suite), rooms with two full beds, and rooms with twin/full bunk beds. The property features a pool, a common outdoor patio seating area, a yard space with badminton, and a common space called the "manager's office" with complimentary drinks and snacks for purchase. We have two ADA accessible rooms.
Age Restrictions
There are no age restrictions for booking rooms. However, children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult when using the pool.
Occupancy Limits
- Queen rooms: Maximum of 2 people
- Double rooms: Maximum of 4 people
- Bunk rooms: Maximum of 3 people
Deposits, Taxes & Fees
Full payment is required at the time of booking. All room bookings are subject to the Mississippi state tax of 7% and 2% Hancock County hospitality tax.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund if reservation is cancelled at least 5 days prior to check-in date. Cancellations made within 5 days of check-in are non-refundable.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Early check-in at 2:00 PM may be available for a $25 fee, based on availability. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Late check-out until 12:00 PM may be available for a $25 fee, based on availability.
Payment Methods
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards. Cash is not accepted.
Smoking
The Driftwood Motel is a smoke-free property. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and common areas. A $250 deep cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in guest rooms.
Noise & Conduct
Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily. Please be respectful of other guests. Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors. A maximum of 2 visitors per room are allowed in the common outdoor areas and patio.
Damages & Lost Items
Guests are solely responsible for any damage to or loss of hotel property during their stay. Damages will be charged to the credit card on file. The Driftwood Motel is not liable for any valuables or personal property left in guest rooms. We recommend keeping valuable items secure at all times. If you lose an item on the property, please contact the on-site manager to see if it has been recovered. We will hold found items for 30 days.
Amenities
- Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
- Guest laundry machines are available on-site for guest use.
- The back of house laundry room is restricted to staff only.
- Courtesy bikes are available for guests to use during their stay. Please call or text management to unlock a bike for you.
Privacy Policy
Information Collection
At the time of booking, we collect guest name, address, phone number, email address, and payment information. During your stay, we may collect additional information such as vehicle information, special requests or accommodations, and on-property purchase history.
Use of Information
Your personal information is used to process and manage your booking, communicate with you about your stay, and provide the services and amenities you request. We may use your contact information to send you marketing communications about promotions or events. You can opt-out of these messages at any time.
Information Sharing
The Driftwood Motel uses Cloudbeds property management system to process reservations and manage guest data. Cloudbeds has access to reservation details in order to provide support services. We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing or customer service. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data confidential. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or other governmental request.
Data Security
Physical access to guest data is restricted and monitored by on-site staff. Electronic reservation data is stored in Cloudbeds, which employs industry-standard encryption and security protocols. We use secure payment processing for all transactions.
Data Retention
Personal information is retained for as long as needed to service your reservation, or as required for tax or legal purposes, typically 3-4 years.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information by contacting us at privacy@driftwoodmotel.com. You can opt-out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message or emailing us.
Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted to this page and communicated to guests. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, Hancock County. Any disputes will be resolved via arbitration in Hancock County before escalating to legal action.
